FRAMINGHAM, Mass., May 19, 2020 - Trux™, the leader in dump truck logistics technology, today announced that Jay Pennington has joined the team as Chief Technology Officer. In his new role, Pennington will lead technical strategy, software architecture and product development efforts at Trux. Working with the product leadership team, he will also help define product strategy and assist in directing the Trux product roadmap.
“Our mission at Trux is to modernize the construction industry—a sector largely left behind by technology—through innovative software that efficiently manages logistics,” said Bart Ronan, CEO of Trux. “With Jay joining the team, we can deliver even more advanced technology offerings to further optimize the hauling process.”

- Bootstrapped and directed Bullhorn’s enterprise software architecture function to a team of 25, led by a technical executive and operating as a matrixed center of excellence across the business.
- Facilitated technical diligence for company acquisition targets and integrated global talent through 9 acquisitions in a 3 year period.
- Led e-commerce development for global Thomson-Reuters research and analysis products.
“For the past six years, Trux has helped countless material producers, trucking companies, and contractors overhaul their trucking operations,” said Pennington. “As CTO, I plan to build on this accomplishment by creating a robust product roadmap and leveraging my deep technical experience to deliver the best trucking platform on the market.”
